DRDO successfully tests indigenous anti-tank guided missile (MPATGM)

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully tested an indigenously developed low-weight, fire and forward manned-portable antitank guided missile (MPATGM) at the borders of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

The man-portable anti-tank guided missile (MPATGM) is an indigenous missile, which is based on the Agni-obliterated system. It is developed by DRDO in partnership with Bharat Dynamics Limited.

This is the third series of successful testing of the MPATGM.

This missile is incorporated with advanced avionics with state-of-the-art aviary imaging seekers.

The test paves the way for the Army to develop a third-generation man-portable anti-tank guided missile indigenously.
